3 mistakes data scientist resumes make

  1. Accuracy with no business result

    “Built a model with 95% accuracy” invites one question: so what? Connect it to revenue, cost or churn, and name the baseline you beat.

  2. A wall of algorithms

    Twenty-five algorithms in a row looks like a syllabus. Show one project from data to deployment: the problem, the features, the evaluation metric and where the model ran.

  3. Certificates instead of work

    Six course certificates don't outweigh one deployed model or a solid Kaggle finish. Keep your two best certificates and spend the space on projects and published work.
